New Orleans - Riverboat Cruise
At long last, after a lengthy delay, I bring you the Riverboat cruise! The Natchez is a genuine steam-powered engine paddleboat that tours the Mississippi river. It was very nifty! Enjoy!
The still photos can be found here.
New Orleans - First Night
Our first night in New Orleans, and we went on the hunt for food. We stopped at the Acme Oyster bar, which was lively. I followed that up with a salad at the hotel restaurant.

New Orleans - Hotel Revisited
I thought I would try something new here. I was playing with making a video out of my trip photos. What do you think? You like this method?
New Orleans - Hotel
It was too cloudy to take photos of New Orleans from the sky.

New Orleans Superdome, as we zipped by in the taxi.

The front doors of our hotel. (Which were broken.)
Now for a quick tour of the hotel room.
And a bit more of the hotel outside my room.

Sitting area next to the elevators.
Wounded

Ouch! I ripped a goodly portion of my thumbnail off in a collision with a stationary object. It hurts. It's ugly. Ouch!
More Lemons
Oh yes, it is all about the lemons this week. The lemon tree is sagging under the weight, and these babies are everywhere! Lemons, lemons, everywhere! So I thought you might like to see how I set up for my lemon processing. Lemon zesting on the right, lemon slicing in the center, lemon juicing on the left. I zest, then I halve, then I juice. Some of the zest I'll freeze to use in recipes throughout the year, the rest is going into limoncello. The juice I strain two more times, and then I also freeze it for future recipes. I think I'll be the lemon queen this year!
That's me, the queen of tart!
