A Life in Snippets

My new shelves and sewing desk are assembled and looking super spiff! I still have all the goodies to put back into the shelves. I'm loving these!

Oh my, has there been a whole lotta cookin' going on! Just look at that mess!!!

But don't worry, I cleaned it up! I think the clean up took just as long as all the cooking!

I caught my neighbor's cat in my back yard, and she was more startled to see me, than I was to see her, so she bolted straight for the back corner to make a quick getaway.

However, she stopped behind the lemon tree and peered at me suspiciously through the leaves. I think she decided my camera was too annoying and my attention too constant and she moved on down the long line to some other neighbor's yard.

I'm pretty sure my ironing is going to bury me! But I'm set up for a long night of it!

Look at that! Progress really can happen just fifteen minutes at a time!

I forgot to take a before picture, but I can tell that what was is missing from this after photo is a lot stuff on the corners of the first four stairs of the staircase. I'm inspired by watching the television show "Hoarders" to do a little cleaning up, and decluttering of my own. This staircase was my first battle plan, and I do believe it has been a resounding victory! It was even bloodless, if you can believe that. No casualties yet, in my war on clutter. Though looking at this photo reminds me just how ready I am for a new color on those walls!! Ha! Good thing it's a goal on my 101 things in 1001 days list!

I have been watching the television show Hoarders today. Oh my! Does this ever make me want to clean my house, and declutter like a maniac!! Oh dear! Looks like I have a few high clutter areas! I can still see carpet, so all hope is not lost for me. It's not exactly Better Homes and Gardens, either, though, now is it?

The Container Store is having a terrific sale on Elfa. I adore Elfa for my fabric storage, and I really needed more bins. Here is my new unit. And for an extra special bonus, it is big enough to be the home for my embroidery machine!

Some days you just don't want to get out of bed.
